Rather than snacking on sweets throughout the day, try to enjoy your Easter treats after a meal. This limits the amount of time your teeth are exposed to sugar and helps reduce the risk of tooth decay.

A quick rinse with water can help wash away sugar and acids from your teeth, especially when you’re on the go and can’t brush right away.

If you're picking your treats, chocolate is actually less damaging than sticky, chewy sweets like toffees or jelly beans, which cling to teeth for longer.
